Hello locals, here is a summary of repairs and creations that Solid Assembly has offered to several different traditional houses. In this pharagrah you will find some key lines about the founder of Solid Assembly and a timeline of specific tools on scale that have been crafted with some hands that expect quality and durability.
Initially, some of the activities consisted of disassemble various objects, for which special tools were necessary. During this process, various parts were collected, resulting in a large collection of unique objects. From these, new inventions and creations were made. This cycle has been going on for a while, and since 2025 I offer you incredible capabilities, which can be found in the following.
My company goal is to creat build a habit on a forseable vehicle heading a planetary direction. Solid assembly services are here to train regulary on any in or out house tools that may require attention for a repair or a redesigne for your personal requirements.

This hand-drawn concept sketch on graph paper presents a sleek and aerodynamic motorcycle. The design features bold, angular lines and large, stylized wheels with turbine-like spokes, suggesting high speed and performance. The vehicle's compact frame is balanced with a sharp rear fin and aggressive front fairing. Labeled "éclairage roue" (French for "wheel lighting"), the drawing hints at integrated illumination in the wheels, adding both style and visibility. The logo "SA" in the corner signifies the designer’s mark.
The idea here is a typical repair situation because the clock had a quartz that was damaged by it's weekly power source. I replaced the clock's oscillator and the movements were back in place. The manufacturer recommends a specific type of D battery with a little more voltage than a standard D battery. They should be changed every year with the recommended batteries, but with the standard batteries (lower voltage), Solid Assembly recommends changing the battery every 6 months so that the output voltage remains constant and the quartz oscillator works properly.
The idea was to use only steel materials (stainless) and here we are looking at a typical production on scale, because the old sink had dimensions that no other sink on the market had, so production on scale. Each piece is cut, shaped and welded with stainless steel. Four sides of the rectangle are folded and the bottom plate is left original from the original sink industry. The two main pieces are shown in the pictures below.

The idea was simple, but the client had special expectations, because the solar ventilated drying box had to be foldable. Here is an example of a similar product on the market. This made an outcome of box with movable sides that could be folded like a piece of paper. Four sides of the cube are made out of plexiglass and the bottom out of wood.
The box is foldable for easier storage. The next picture shows this construction folded. The plexiglass corners are fragile and therefore a protection is necessary (blue sponges on picture). Also there were no metal screws used for the plexiglass plates, in order to avoid initiation of cracks by a harder material than plexiglass.
| Material | Wood, plexiglass flaps, steel, round steel, Plastic countersunk head screws, aluminum angle |
| Tools | Circular saw, drill, angle grinder, pliers, threat cutter, screwdriver |
| Manufacturing | 92 hours |
| Usage | Since December 2020 |
| Difficulties | Making the hole structure foldable for storage |
The opening on a house had to be closed because the client wasn't happy about the old door that sucked up all the rainwater like a sponge. Here is a short video of the new door manufactured by solid assembly.
The first step in this manufacturing process was to make a big wooden board out of small bars. Not all the wooden bars were strait, so they had to be assembled two by two and contently adjusted. When two bars were pushed together they where glued and screwed together. The second step consisted in flattening the wooden board. This was done with a sander and a ruler. Finally, the last step was to assemble all metal parts (as soon as they were manufactured) in the correct position on the board. The particularity of this door is that it is reinforced with steel parts (110 mm screws) inside the wood. That's why the total weight ended up with 70 kilogramms.
| Material | Wood, steel locks, stainless steel door handle, copper plates, 6.8 hex screws, copper screws |
| Tools | Circular saw, drill, large angle grinder, threat cutter, hammer, screwdriver, silicone gun |
| Manufacturing | 120 hours |
| Usage | Since July 2021 |
| Difficulties | Folding the copper sheet in a circular radius |
The planing of the water reservoir was made with the open source software FreeCAD, see picture above. The orange parts are polypropylene pipes, and the yellow layers are wooden boards that support the upper levels. The transparent border represents the cave, which was enlarged for the construction.
The left picture shows the cutting site of the pipes. All pipes where cut with a angle grinder. The recipient is continuously filled with rainwater, but is protected against overflow. It can be emptied through a faucet.
The water level can rise up to 1.02 meters. The water level is monitored with a vertical plexiglass tube. This level can be converted to the water volume in the reservoir with the graphic below. The maximum filling capacity is 4.2 m3. The reason that the reservoir is in a pipe shaped structure is that the entry into the room was only 50 cm × 50 cm, long pipes could be transferred into the room. To be able to satisfy the clients demands, the reservoir had to be solid and definitely not leak. This was the best solution, piping the cave.
In this project, a computer with several processors and hard-disks was realised Having not much space at disposal, the 5 motherboards (3 intel, 2 ADM) were piled up in a bookshelf. The rear wooden board of bookshelf was removed to free the access to all computer ports. Every computer is mounted on a rail system, which enabled quick access to the graphic cards and PCI cards. The whole box has a mechanical air-cooling system that can activated by opening the bookshelf door. Hard disks have been placed diagonally (see bottom of the picture) for a better airflow. The corresponding 2 computers have 3 hard disks each. The cooling of these computers was improved by placing them at the bottom of the shelf.
Some hard disks use IDE technology and the other hard disks use a SATA ports. The power supplies are shielded with steel boxes that minimize the influence of their magnetic fields on the computer chips. When there is a good-looking hardware base, everything can be connected together (other side of book shelf). One of the computers (intel) has a self-made circuit for initiating the bios startup. This circuit transforms a change in voltage onto an electric pulse.
| Material | Motherboards, hard disks, cable tie, power cables, screws, wood sheets, steel angles |
| Tools | Screwdrivers, pliers, metal shears, wood saw, glue |
| Manufacturing | 150 hours |
| Usage | During 5 years |
| Difficulties | Linux operating system |
Illumination circuits were installed on motorcycles (Yamaha and Kawasaki), skateboards, and bikes. They were realized with light emitting diodes (LED) of different colors. They can be switched on and off manually on the control board of the motorcycle. The two first pictures show this light circuit in blue and green on two different Yamaha motorcycles. The third image shows a similar system on a skateboard but with two rechargeable batteries. Most of the motorcycles were assembled in a particular way with special tools. Since not all special tools were always available, the unmouting and mounting process was time-consuming.
| Material | Cables, light emitting diodes, resistors, isolating materials, Switches, cable ties, paint |
| Tools | Welding tools, side-cutting pliers, keys, screwdrivers, torx screwdrivers, hex keys, voltmeter, ampere meter, crocodile pliers |
| Manufacturing | 8 hours |
| Usage | January 2013 until today |
| Difficulties | Connecting my circuit to the motorcycle circuit, special tools missing |
The drawing below shows part of the electric circuit for a bicycle. The light emitting diodes are mounted in front and at the rear, and some of them are blinking. The system is operational through 5 interrupters on the bike handlebar.
